Infinite Campus is an online communication tool used by many school districts to provide users with school-related information. My experience as a user of the Parent Portal inspired me to imagine a redesign of the software.
The current interface has redundant information in multiple spots, requiring multiple clicks or complicated steps to find essential information like grades or assignments. Consolidating and simplifying content will greatly improve the user experience.
Role: UX/UI Design
Tools: Figma, Rayna UI System
Timeline: Five weeks
The Process
The Users
Due to the five-week timeline, I created these personas using AI to represent common user types based on my own experience with the platform and typical parent/student needs. While not based on formal user research, they helped me focus the redesign on key goals: quick access to grades, clear communication, and simplified navigation.

Repetitive links and sections were condensed when creating the site map.
The Design
Wireframe
The blueprint for the final design was created from the sitemap, keeping in mind the goal of a simple interface and user experience.
UI Design
I used the Rayna UI library (available in Figma) to design the final product, customizing the design to match the Infinite Campus brand.
Limitations & Next Steps
With more time and resources, I would conduct interviews with real parents and students to validate these assumptions and uncover needs I might have missed. I'd also test the redesign with actual users to measure whether it reduces task completion time and frustration.
